Schedule updated for the current FCPS 2026-27 admissions calendar. The standard SPS/Essay writing administration is Saturday, January 9, 2027. FCPS notes that dates remain subject to change.

These tests replicate real test conditions, including timed writing and proctoring, to help students get comfortable with the test format and develop better time management skills.
No. Any TJ applicant can use the public registration page to purchase individual past or upcoming exams or the full 10-exam series. No existing TJTestPrep enrollment or special link is required. TJ Prep Flex tuition does not include proctored practice exams, but those families use the same public options. Small Group Coaching already includes the full series, so those students should not purchase it separately.
Past exams are self-proctored only. Access and instructions are available in your exam portal after purchase, including for the August 22, 2026 exam. For upcoming exams, your student may join the scheduled live online proctoring session or complete the exam independently at home whenever convenient. No advance selection is required.
Where to find each exam: Every exam on your enrollment is at www.eduavenues.com/tj/exams. Each exam opens on its live date and stays open through January 9, 2027, so your student can self-proctor any time before then. We also email the live-session details the day before each scheduled date.
What to have ready: A computer or laptop, pens or pencils, one sheet of 8.5 by 11 inch scratch paper, and a quiet, distraction-free workspace. Choose your timing option before starting.

Choose individual exams for one or more past or upcoming dates at $150 each. Past exams are self-proctored only, with portal access and instructions available after purchase. Upcoming exams offer live or self-proctored practice. Registration and exam access remain open through January 9, 2027. Choose the full 10-exam series for $1,200 if you want every exam in the cycle, including past exams completed through self-proctoring. Both options include scoring and detailed feedback.
TJ Prep Flex includes 15 feedback credits. Each SPS or PSE response reviewed uses one credit. Those reviews are not proctored exams. Proctoring helps enforce accountability and simulate test-like scenarios with a time limit.
Yes. You keep the 15 included feedback credits. Practice exams are separate from those credits and from any extra credits you purchase. These are proctored exams.
Yes, each proctored practice exam features brand-new prompts, designed for this particular exam administration. These are new prompts to ensure that all students can receive an accurate, realistic assessment of their performance as though it were the actual exam.
